Weaver takeover!

Hello Riverfolk besties, fans and enemies!

Weaver here, taking over the newsletter as I’ve been let out of the writing mines! They don’t want just any words here, the writing mines nowadays demand the best!

Summer is upon us, and we're pleased as punch to say that we're all ready for some special days in the sun. Whether you're out there enjoying a slow ride down a lazy river or cursing the sun like a sailor, we have exactly what you need.

For those of you inclined to be social and talk about writing and reading, you are cordially invited to the forthcoming virtual convention…

Several writing discords within the progression fantasy space have pooled our resources together to create Numbers go up!

This virtual convention is on June 19th, 20th, and 21st, and each day will be hosted by a different Discord writing server. It is completely free, and parts will be streamed on YouTube.

More specifics about the panelists and event timings will be shared in the run-up, but from Riverfolk, JP Weaver, and Eura Abrams will be attending!

The next fun event I want to tell you about is Hear to Improve!

Every Tuesday at 9 pm - 11 pm EST, JP Weaver and a band of troublemakers meet to narrate a chapter that’s been submitted to the group before discussing how we think the author could improve. Last week, we read a story about a kobold going shopping that had us all laughing, and we enjoyed it so much that we’ve requested more chapters.

So far, we’ve read chapters from a whole range of genres, like progression fantasy, LitRPG and romantasy, so if you want a sneak peek into the writing process for some of your favourite series/genres, join my server, the Weaververse, to tune in!

Next, I am so excited to announce that Riverfolk Authors will be at LitRPG Con to sign books and talk all things progression fantasy! Eura Abrams (Euphridia) and Aaron Sofaer (Pastafarian) are attending, and you might even have a wild J.P. Weaver sighting, if you pay close enough attention!

LitRPG con runs from July 10th - 12th, and tickets are still available!

And finally, an update about A Day in the Life: An NPC LitRPG Anthology…

We’re excited to announce that there will be copies available to purchase at LitRPG Con, and a few of the authors included in the book will be there too, so if you’re interested in picking the book up and maybe getting it signed, make sure to keep an eye on our socials for more information.

However, if you won’t be in attendance or can’t wait that long, we’re pleased to tell you that the book launches on June 16th, and you can order your copy here!

Have a great month! Enjoy the summer sun, and get out there and chill, chill, chill!
